If Aston Martin uses an automatic gearbox exclusively on its production models, the Gaydon firm does not forget about its customers, who are most attached to the lever and clutch pedal.

Here is the Valor, a GT produced only in 110 copies worldwide and equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, all linked to the V12.

Glory to the past

Therefore, under the hood we find a 5.2-liter V12 715 hp and 753 Nm in combination with a six-speed manual gearboxmaking this model the only car in the world equipped with a front-mounted 12-cylinder engine mated to a manual transmission.

Aston Martin claims to have specially calibrated the entire powertrain to maximize the connection between the driver and the car, which can vary significantly between Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes.

The car received an adaptive suspension, a new steering assistance system and a carbon-ceramic brake system with discs with a diameter of 410 mm at the front and 360 mm at the rear. This last solution saves 23 kg compared to steel brakes and guarantees high resistance to temperatures up to 800°C.

The 21-inch alloy wheels are also spec and fitted with new Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires (275/35 R21 front and 325/20 R21 rear).

Inspired by historical models

The body is made entirely of carbon fiber and echoes the style of the most iconic Aston Martin in history. The most obvious references are to the V8 Vantage of the 1970s, while the sleek lines are reminiscent of the One-77 and the rear is a unique Victor.

The long hood contains large air intakes to cool the twin-turbo V12, and the LED optics are integrated with the entire front end. The Valor also benefits from an ultra-slim exhaust system, just 1mm thick, which saves 7kg in weight compared to the more conventional model.

Inside, the focus is on the gear lever, which can be customized with a choice of aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber or walnut knob finishes. The seats are upholstered in fabric inspired by the 1959 Le Mans winner DBR1, and are complemented by carbon moldings for the instrument panel, transmission tunnel and door panels.
