
Koenigsegg has just inaugurated the Gripen Atelier, a facility for 11,000 m2 is dedicated to the Gemera program as well as future modelsin parallel with its two-seater range: development, design, production, offices and exhibition, bringing the total area of Koenigsegg facilities to 30,000 m2.

Koenigsegg Gemera: impressive technical information
The Koenigsegg Gemera, the world’s first 4-seater Megacar with more than 1,360 horsepower, already impressed the public when it was unveiled in 2020 as a concept car. Now release of production goes even further, with an even more impressive spec sheet.
The production Gemera has taken Jesko’s Light Speeda all-wheel drive with torque distribution to four wheels. “We added ‘Tourbillon’ to the LST name because this movement represents the automotive equivalent of a high-end Swiss watch and is simply stunning”– says Christian von Koenigsegg.
But that’s not all: a new “Dark Matter” electric motor with a capacity of 800 horsepower and 1250 Nm of torque has been developed. It is able to propel the vehicle alone or in combination with a TFG twin-turbo thermal engine, providing maximum power 1400 horsepower and 1850 Nm of torque !
Koenigsegg Gemera: extreme version with 2300 horsepower
Koenigsegg goes even further in its fight for power and also introduces a second version of the Koenigsegg Gemera named HV8 (Hot V8): this final version borrowed a V8 engine from Jesko, which produces 1500 horsepower.
Combined with the Dark Matter electric motor it is Hybrid V8 develops general 2300 horsepower and 2750 Nm of torquewhich is new world record absolutely for a serial car.

Gemera production will begin at the end of 2024 at the Gripen Atelier, and the first deliveries to customers are expected in early 2025.
