
Google just launched the rolloutAndroid Auto 9.9the latest version of its automotive interface for Android-based smartphones, pending the arrival of the upcoming “Coolwalk” update, which will be one of the biggest major updates to Android Auto.

Android Auto 9.9: new features
Android Auto 9.9 offers new features compared to the previous version: for example, if until now you had to use a voice command to find a contact and make a call, you can now manually choose from contact list which is displayed on the screen to avoid errors related to Google Assistant voice recognition.
Android Auto version 9.9 also fixes that some software bugssuch as restoring the display of contact numbers in the messaging app Whatsapp or even managing personalized results settings.
The new parameters also apply users of electric cars : you can now define in the settings that you are using an electric car. In this way, Google Maps can offer you an optimized route to save battery power, or even local information such as the location of the nearest charging stations, with the ability to filter them by charging connector to show only those that are compatible with your car.
Android Auto 9.9: How to download the latest version?
The new version of Android Auto 9.9 is gradually rolling out to the Google Play Store: it may not be available on your device right away. Also, you will have to wait a few more days or weeks to be able to update Android Auto on your smartphone.
If you already have the app and have activated automatic updates, you may already have the latest version 9.9 installed on your smartphone. For those in a hurry, you can also proceed with the manual download by using the Android Auto 9.9 APK file and manually installing it on your device.
