You are no doubt familiar with carpooling. By the way, this practice consists in sharing one car to make a trip, in particular, to get to the place of work or, for example, on vacation. This solution has many advantages, starting with reduced fuel costs. Indeed, you can be a passenger of another person, which allows you leave the car in the garage. Plus, if you’re driving, other people will be paying you, so you won’t lose money. Not to mention the carpooling allowance of up to €200 introduced by the government at the beginning of the year.
Thanks to the Games, we will transform our city in depth, like a ring road that will become a green belt:

Falling numbers
But if the practice of car sharing has increased dramatically in recent months, now it is falling very sharply. This is indeed what the national car-sharing observatory has noted, while the government wants to analyze its compensation. According to the latest figures, the number of trips has steadily declined in April and May, falling from over one million in March to 750,000 in May. This represents a drop of 281,000 trips in just two months. But what is the reason for this amazing phenomenon? We explain to you.
Several reasons
First of all, it can be caused by a bounty. It is enough to make 10 trips to receive it. However, once this was won, stop practicing shared cars. But this would not be the only explanation. Indeed, the blame should also be laid on the holidays, which are especially numerous in recent months. Between holidays and long weekends, motorists were less likely to be on the road, and therefore less likely to drive together. Whether this downward trend will continue in the coming months remains to be seen.
