
Last year, the market for bicycles with an electric drive reached 5.5 million copies sold in Europe, up 8.6% year-on-year. In 2022, one in four bicycles sold in Europe will be electric: a growing market that continues to include new players.
To stay in the race and benefit from its nearly 140 years of experience in the bicycle market, Peugeot Cycles will run the whole a new line of connected electric bikesintended for both families and professionals.
Peugeot Cycles: a range that will soon be enriched
From the end of 2023 and in early 2024, Peugeot Cycles will launch several new innovative models in its e-bike range, which will have connected technologies. Thus, users will be able to take advantage of a smartphone appwhich will allow you to control the adaptive electric assistance, anti-theft system, alarm system, geolocation of the bike or even use real-time GPS navigation, weather forecast at your destination or even route statistics.
Peugeot Cycles will enrich its range of connected electric bikes with three new universes: city bikes (Digital electric bicycle), cargo bikes of the “longtail” type (Digital e-Longtail), designed for family use, as well as bi-carrier cargo bikes (Digital e-Front Load), intended for family or professional use.
This new range is aimed at urban families who want to benefit from the new infrastructure designed for bicycles (cycle lanes, special parking lots, etc.), as well as for companiessuch as DIYers who want to make the double cargo bike a new work tool, or even logistics companies for last mile delivery.
Peugeot Cycles: a wide network of dealers
Peugeot Cycles has been selling bicycles since 1885 and continues today through its exclusive licensee Cycleurope Industrieswhich designs, manufactures and distributes a wide range of electric bicycles.
These three new series of connected electric bikes from Peugeot Cycles will be designed and manufactured by the startup. Bevelwhich will also sell these products through its own distribution channels.
Peugeot Cycles is currently presenting all its new plug-in bikes on its 100m2 stand at Pro-Days 2023 exhibitionfor cycling professionals, which will be held from 2 to 4 July 2023 at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles (Hall 4, Stand No. H07).
