2022 was another record year for Bugatti. Among the 80 cars assembled by hand, there were some incredible examples, such as the 400th Chiron or the special version of L’Ébé, dedicated to the daughter of Ettore Bugatti. 2023 will be no less important, with growing ambitions and an exciting future.
In the second half of 2024, the new plant, located next to the workshop, will be added to the historic area of Molsheim. The new plant will occupy two floors, i.e. 2120 m22and will be used to support ongoing programs including the production of the Bolide, the most extreme Bugatti ever built, and the W16 Mistral, the roadster par excellence.
The first electrified Bugatti appears
Important future projects will also be developed there, such as the first car produced under the leadership of Bugatti Rimac, a model that will not be 100% electric, but a plug-in hybrid.
“The construction of this new extension in Molsheim coincides perfectly with the development of the brand and our offer. Today, this project is a reflection of Bugatti’s reliability and heralds a promising future for our company.”– said Christophe Piochon, president of the brand.
Many vacancies
This new plant also means new jobs. Bugatti is also accelerating its recruitment campaign to attract new talent to Molsheim and target the growth of several departments such as quality control, planning, logistics and production.
The brand has also launched a new apprenticeship program which has already proved very successful as all jobs have been filled quickly. In Molsheim, where the head office is located, the brand plans to increase staff by more than 50% by the end of 2027.
