Except converted vans which can be a bit cramped, mobile homes (cabins, profiled, integral) offer beds of all sizes and types. Here are the main ones that you can use to guide you in choosing the model that you should give preference to.

Permanent beds

THE permanent beds as the name suggests stationary beds integrated into the structure of the motorhome. They offer more comfort as they rest on thicker and softer supports most of the time. But also more convenience because they are ready to use without requiring additional configuration.

  • central bed : This type of bedding is usually located in the back of the motor home. This is a double bed that can be accessed from both sides.
  • French bed : the double bed is also located at the rear of the motor home and is only accessible from one side.
  • Double beds : these are single beds separated from each other by a central corridor. Each of them is lying on the places for storage.
  • Bunk beds : Located at the rear of the motorhome (mostly above the cabin), these are single beds stacked on top of each other to optimize space.
  • transverse bed : like the French bed, the transverse bed is located in the rear of the car. In width, not in length. Also available on one side only.
  • Flowerbed with nasturtium : Reserved for motorhomes with a cab. This is a bed (single or double) located above the cabin, accessible by a ladder.

Pull-out beds

There are pull-out beds beds that can be folded or removed when you don’t need it. They are added to permanent beds and serve as additional space for additional guests. Enough to free up space during the day and increase capacity at night!

  • Folding bed : The folding bed is attached to the ceiling of the mobile home and can be lowered manually or electrically. When the bed is raised, it is hidden and does not take up space. When lowered, it can sometimes interfere with access to a door or seating area.
  • dining bed : some dining areas (dining areas) can be converted into beds by lowering the table and using extra cushions to create a sleeping space.
  • bench bed : Some benches can be transformed into beds by adjusting their configuration. The seat backs fold to form a sleeping surface. Like a folding sofa.
