The Chinese manufacturer of electric cars recently opened orders for its own XPeng G6 in China on June 9, 2023.

XPeng’s latest 100% electric SUV coupe has just launched a price war with Tesla at a very attractive price: from RMB 225,000, which is equivalent toabout 28,700 euros. For comparison, in our region Tesla Model Y is sold at a price of 45,990 euros.

XPeng G6: more than 25,000 orders

This strategy was successful because only 72 hours later, i.e. three days after the opening of the order book, over 25,000 orders already registered for XPeng G6.

In addition to its price, the XPeng G6 exhibits attractive characteristics, thanks to the state-of-the-art SEPA 2.0 platform with 800V architecture, as well as range up to 755 km according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, thanks to the 66 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery or the second version of the NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) with a capacity of 87.5 kWh. Ultra-fast charging allows you to restore 300 km of autonomy in just 10 minutes.

Two engines are offered on the XPeng G6: the first power version with a capacity of 296 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, and the second all-wheel drive version that is developing 487 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque.

XPeng G6: Coming soon to Europe

In terms of technology, the G6 features Level 3 semi-autonomous driving and a connected infotainment system with a 15-inch touchscreen.

The first deliveries of the XPeng G6 are expected in July 2023 in China. The new Chinese SUV coupe should land here soon, in Europe. Meanwhile, the XPeng lineup in Europe consists of the P7 sedan and the G9 large SUV.
