In recent years, many new brands of electric vehicles have appeared on the market, mainly from China. BYD is no exception, and after launching the Yangwang or Denza brands, the Chinese giant has just announced the arrival of a brand new brand called Fan Chen Bao (or FangChengBao).
“Many people believe that the transition to e-mobility is a revolution in the automotive industry, where fossil fuel vehicles are being replaced by electric vehicles. However, BYD believes that this is only a small part of the transition, and a larger area is being developed.”said Wang Chuanfu, president of BYD.
Fang Cheng Bao: a new electric car brand
In this way, BYD aims to meet the more diversified demand of motorists: Fang Cheng Bao is a new brand electric carswhich will offer a range of premium models ranging from SUVs to sports cars.
“Fang Cheng Bao” literally translates into Chinese as “Leopard Formula”, and was formerly known as the “F” code internally. This new brand symbolizes the agility and versatility of the Leopard, while embodying the transformation into the car of the future.
Indeed, BYD sees Fang Cheng Bao as a “true springboard to the revolution”, a brand that is always at the forefront of trends with its diverse range of electric cars and “new energy” vehicles.
Fang Cheng Bao: the first SUV in 2023
Fang Cheng Bao will be on the market very quickly, as the first model is expected this summer 2023: an imposing SUV which corresponds to the code name “SF”and of which the Chinese firm has just released the first images, the model is still hidden by colorful camouflage.
No information about the model has been released, but its price should be between 50,000 and 60,000 euros. According to the first rumors, it should share its platform with the Yangwang U8, with a different positioning.
However, we should not see how the Fang Cheng Bao brand enters our European countries: in the Old Continent, the Chinese car group wants to develop the BYD and Denza brands more.
