More than a million cars pass through it every day, making it one of the busiest roads in the country. And yet some would like it to disappear or at least be deeply transformed to reduce the place of motorized vehicles. We are talking, obviously, about the ring road, the subject of disputes for several years, until Paris City Hall wants to reduce the speed and also the number of lanes. In particular, the plan is to reserve one for the practice of car sharing, which is really not to everyone’s liking, on the contrary. And some aren’t shy about doing it loud and clear.

The whole area
This is especially true Gregory of Lasteira, vice president of Île-de-France Mobilités and special representative for mobility in the Île-de-France region. The latter was questioned by our colleagues from Auto-Moto and he is particularly outraged by the policy of the mayor of Paris. He complains that ” Parisians are in the minority on this path, and yet Paris City Hall decides“. Which, according to him, is not normal, while this boulevard should rather be ” under regional management“. But unfortunately, that is not on the agenda at all at the moment, while Ann Hidalgo has other plans for this route.
Advice?
The vice president asks about itadviceto be created with the various territories of the Ile-de-France, ” to act simultaneously on all entities that facilitate carpooling“. Also, he asks this tooimpact research to measure the consequences of creating such a route. The government is not against the mayor of Paris on this issue, and the residents of Ile-de-France are mostly against it. But, unfortunately, they have no say in this matter.
