When will this thing finally end? Doesn’t seem right away? Indeed, the State Council and the government have been fighting and opposing each other for several months regarding the implementation of the technical control for two-wheeled vehicles required by the European Union. The first wants it to arrive quickly, when it was seized by several associations, and the second does not want to disturb the French and is doing everything to postpone the deadline. Since then, the situation has stalled, though state council again spoke in favor of this measure, forcing the government to finally give in.

Not immediately
Transport Minister Clément Bohn insisted on providing more information, speaking in front of the microphone of RTL. The latter wanted to appease the main interested party, but without making false promises. He actually claims that yes, there will be technical control on two-wheelers. The State Council asks the government to adopt this legal decision within two months, until the beginning of August.. But according to the minister, the setup should actually take a little longer. To tell the truth, the control should see the light no earlier than the end of the year.
Advice
He reassures by saying that “There will be no obligations on August 1 which will descend without warning on nearly four million French motorcyclists in the heart of summer“. The Minister also reminds that the establishment of this control for ” earn money“, while this one will cost less than 50 euros. ” It is important for our cities. I know this is a concern of many bikers, so it should be the cheapest possible and as pragmatic as possible“. We’ll have to wait before we know more though.
