Several years have passed since the introduction of private radar cars. And it is not for nothing that the first appeared on the roads in 2018, not without a lot of ink flowing. Indeed, several associations have stepped up to condemn this system, which they consider illegal and unethical. And it is not for nothing that the latter criticize in particular what they are employees of private companies who have the right to verbalize other people without being part of the forces of order. However, this did not prevent the government from continuing their massive development throughout France. Unfortunately for drivers, many get flashed without even knowing it.

Serious accident
And the story we are going to tell you is not very important. Indeed, it is Sunday, May 21 the last private radar was involved in a serious accident. Worse, even she would have provoked it. It happened in the morning, around 11 o’clock. At the time, a private vehicle equipped with an on-board radar went off the road on the departmental route 972 between Saint-Lô and Coutances in the English Channel, with a speed limit of 80 km/h. She then crashed into a Ford Mustang traveling in the opposite direction, seriously injuring two people in their seventies who were on board. Fortunately, a volunteer firefighter who was passing by quickly called and provided first aid.
What is the reason?
But what really happened? According to the first signs, the driver of the radar car probably did not exceed the speed limit. In fact, she would fell asleep at the wheel and allegedly lost control of his vehicle without realizing it. 16 firefighters were involved in providing assistance to the victims, who were evacuated to the hospital. The owner of the Mustang decided to file a complaint against the private radar company that supports his driver.
