Try an electric car, they say, accept it. This, in any case, fully applies to Michael K. of Montelimar (26). There already is Zoe with 2018, our reader decides to order a second one in his version at the end of 2019 R135. After two and a half years of use, it is only showing 30,700 km. However, Mikael has been experiencing a strange feeling when he gets behind the wheel of his car for several weeks. A feeling that repeats itself when he gets into the passenger seat. Intrigued, he decides to check with his dealer.

Torn moss!

This then revealed a problem with the foam on the base of the front seats. Indeed, it seems to be breaking down, no longer providing the comfort and support that Mikael had known up until then. The latter then tells himself that there may be a problem, and this Renault definitely fix it. However, he was disappointed when the dealer presented him with an estimate of €1,335 without any involvement from the manufacturer. Mikael then refuses to start and demands that a support request be sent to the brand. However, this request will prove to be rather unconvincing, as Renault only gives him a 40% stake.

Our reader is angry: for him, there is no such thing as payment 801 euros for such a new car.

Our defense strategy

Michael’s anger is easy to understand. Granted, seats can sag over time and miles, but this Zoe is only 2 1/2 years old and has only been driven 30,700 km! It is worth saying that it is almost in new condition. In addition, for such a problem, our experts’ scale includes full support from the manufacturer, within 5 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first. Therefore, Renault has to bear 100% of the costs!
