Fuel: diesel fuel at the pre-war price Auto Plus news in your smartphone Auto Plus news in your inbox

Fuel prices have been at their highest for more than a year. And the reason is actually simple, because the war in Ukraine led to an increase in prices at gas stations. We are talking about difficulties with exports, as well as the embargo introduced by the European Union against Russian oil. A way to punish the government and Vladimir Putin. Unless it basically resulted there is a sharp rise in prices, with fuel that regularly exceeds the two-euro mark. This greatly complicates the life of motorists, especially those who have to go to work every day.

A small drop

However, the price of oil still fell sharply, as did fuel in Europe. Except for France, which annoys motorists, as well as the government, which asked distributors to act. The latter, however, does not intend to create new aid. But here’s good news for drivers. Indeed, the price of diesel fuel has fallen sharply in recent weeks and is now back to pre-war levels in Ukraine. According to the latest statement in Ministry of Energyapproximately €1.6555 per liter is required.

A shrinking gap

So, diesel lost about a penny compared to the previous week. For its part, unleaded 95 E10 is priced at 1.8223 euros per liter. So the difference between the two fuels is still quite large, but it still tends to decrease over the weeks. In any case, prices are still very high, despite the slight decline recorded in recent days. Let’s hope it picks up a bit more in the coming weeks…
