As we know, the track has not had wind in its sails for several years. We are talking about numerous complaints from residents who complain about the noise from cars driving there. The surrounding autophobic climate does not help either, while cars, especially sports cars, are now condemned and blamed for everything from all sides. Result, more and more chains are at risk of closure, and the state authorities and other associations are doing everything to put a stick in their wheels. The goal? Do what you can to reduce their use, which can cause problems.

A new twist
This is, for example, the case of the Albi scheme. The latter is governed by an ordinance issued in 2022 by the mayor of Le Sequestre, where it is located. It was strictly forbidden to drive more than four thermal cars on the track at the same time. The measure is clearly very restrictive, while only four activities were exempted. Except that this decree only applied to DS Events, the company responsible for running the track. In the end, she gave up and decided to stop her activities. As a result, the decision became invalid according toPrefect of Tarn Francois Xavier-Loche.
Has the scheme been saved?
The latter presents himself as the defender of the scheme and claims that ” today this resolution is not in force. It targets a delegate that no longer exists“. Theoretically, this measure is no longer valid at the moment Therefore, Albi will be saved. A demonstration of support was held on April 29 by the Albie Volunteer Association (ACBA). The latter says that he is ready to discuss in order to find agreements with government authorities to be able to continue to organize heat car races.
