McLaren introduced the 720S-based 765LT Spider nearly two years ago. Although the latter is officially out of the catalog, the British firm has not yet finished production of the convertible version.
The latest customer to receive his 765LT Spider was none other than F1 driver Lando Norris, who ordered one of 765 produced. As you can see from the images, the car has some unique parts made by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), including many carbon fiber elements.
A truly unique car
The car’s delivery was captured in a video posted by McLaren Automotive on YouTube, in which we see the 23-year-old driver driving to the firm’s headquarters in Woking.
As for the exterior, Lando Norris’ McLaren 765LT gets a special blue paint job with a carbon fiber frame paired with contrasting yellow brake calipers: a unique color combination that can also be found on his racing helmet.
Inside, the driver decided to embroider the “LN” logo on the headrests, and a special aluminum plate is engraved with the inscription that the car was “Made exclusively for Lando Norris by MSO”without reporting the serial number.
Powerful and fast
We will remind, McLaren 765LT, as the name implies, develops a small thing 765 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque thanks to its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Performances are obviously insane from 0 to 100 km/h, announced at 2.8 secondsfrom 0 to 200 km/h 7.2 seconds and maximum speed 330 km/h. The characteristics are almost the same as in the coupe.
The 765LT Spider also gets some improvements over the 720S Spider it uses as a base, such as stiffer suspension. The front tracks were widened, and the ground clearance was even lower.
