The British manufacturer is preparing the fifth generation of its Miniand after presenting the first images of the still-camouflaged model being tested on the track, as well as the first details about its electric motors, Mini continues the teasers, presenting us with the first images of its design elements: the steering wheel, the rims or even the upholstery.

“With our new design language, we are completely reimagining the iconic Mini. Our minimalist, forward-thinking approach combines the simplicity of functional elements with the emotionality that Mini is known for”said Oliver Heilmer, Mini Design Director: “We are convinced that voluntary reduction to a small number of very expressive elements allows us to achieve innovations that would have been unthinkable before. »

Mini: materials inspired by sustainable development

Inside the future Mini we will find a whole new round touch screen to OLED, is always placed in the center of the instrument panel. With a diameter of 24 centimeters, it combines the functions of an on-board tube and an infotainment system, and is adorned with a floating frameless design in a decidedly futuristic style. Its fully tactile user interface is minimalist and also integrates air conditioning functions.

THE flight the upcoming Mini has also been updated: it has a two-spoke design as standard, while the sportier model will be offered as an option with an additional third spoke covered in a special noble fabric. There are also ‘Vibrant Silver’ inserts for a more premium metallic look, as well as very practical controls on the steering wheel.

For places, Mini will offer an unprecedented combination of new colors and new patterns, combined with styling cues such as the houndstooth pattern, a nod to the past. The side panels of the seats are neat and decorated with modern textiles, and for the first time there will be built-in armrests to provide more comfort on board.

Mini: discs with optimized aerodynamics

As for the external style, then discs alloy wheels have been completely redesigned to embody the new Mini design language. They no longer have classic knitting needles, but a more graphic and sophisticated design that plays on colors and contrasts. The sleek two-dimensional design of the rims also improves the aerodynamics of future Minis, which helps to improve their autonomy.

The future of the Mini will soon be unveiled: it will be offered in several versionsincluding the entry-level 184-horsepower Cooper E, which provides a range of approximately 300 km, as well as the higher-end 218-horsepower Cooper SE, which can achieve a range of 400 km.
