Honda CR-V: confident style
The new Honda CR-V has more striking lines than before, with a grille distinguishing the e:HEV and e:PHEV hybrid versions. Narrowed optics combined with a light pattern stretching horizontally. The taillights have the characteristic L-shape of the model, framing the rear window, and carry unique light signature.
Wider, longer and taller than the previous generation, the new CR-V has styling designed to optimize driver visibility, including a wide and sleek hood and generous glass surfaceswhich also help improve the well-being of all passengers, reduce stress and create a better sense of space inside, increased by a 40 mm longer wheelbase, which also improves cargo volume by 18%.
The new CR-V is offered with a hybrid powertrain (e:HEV) or a new hybrid powertrain (e:PHEV): both versions feature a 2.0-liter direct-injection Atkinson engine that has been redesigned to deliver greater efficiency and dynamic characteristics.
Honda CR-V: full of technology
THE CR-V Full Hybrid (e:HEV) borrows its 184bhp engine from the latest Civic and features a lithium-ion battery and two compact and lightweight electric motors that work alongside the petrol engine. Electric, hybrid and thermal driving modes have been designed to adapt to any road situation.
THE CR-V Hybrid (e:PHEV) uses the e:HEV architecture with its lightweight, highly efficient electric motors, and its 17.7 kWh battery allows it to travel up to 82 km in 100% electric mode: enough for daily trips without fuel consumption. Honda promises fast charging: indeed, when the battery temperature is 25°C, it can be charged to 100% in just 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The new CR-V will be equipped with the latest safety systems and advanced driver assistance systems Honda Sensingincluding the new Honda Sensing 360 system, as well as new structural components to provide superior active and passive safety.
Honda CR-V of the sixth generation will go on sale somewhere insummer 2023 in Europe at rates to be announced later.
