
German manufacturer Detleffs completes its Globevan range with the introduction of Globevan trailvan based on the Ford Transit Custom with a 150 horsepower diesel engine combined with a 6-speed manual transmission.
In addition to the already known Globevan, v Dethleffs Globevan trail has a specific adventurer look, 16-inch alloy wheels and roof rails, as well as a limited-slip differential that helps improve traction on rough and muddy terrain. The perfect partner to go on an adventure off the beaten path.
Dethleffs Globevan Trail: Well thought out layout
At 4.97 meters long, 1.99 meters wide and 2.10 meters high, the Dethleffs Globevan Trail is extremely compact and has modular and thoughtful planning, with rails along which the multiple seat can be slid or even removed to increase the loading space, allowing, for example, to transport a motorcycle. The salon consists of a removable table, as well as swivel cabin seats.
On the port side there is a trunk that acts as a bench seat and holds some storage items, and a compact kitchen unit with a sliding gas stove, 16 liter water tank and external shower, cooler, 36 liter compressor. (in the Trail Two version), a 95 Ah cell battery, not to mention a 1.8 kg gas cylinder.
At night, the bench turns into a double bed 140×210 cmsupplemented by a bed 125×200 cm located in retractable roofwhich makes it possible to offer a large living space with enough ceiling height to stand when the bed is not in use.
Dethleffs Globevan Trail: model for 2-4 people
There is space under the sofa bed extension for luggage and other personal items, while the camping table can be stored in the right wall panels and also used outside thanks to its three legs.
The Dethleffs Globevan Trail is priced at entry level from 62,890 euros for the “Trail One” trim and €66,090 for the “Trail Two” trim, recognizable by its Lunar Gray metallic color and bi-xenon headlights.
An automatic transmission can be added as an option, or even a hitch-mounted bike rack that can hold up to four bikes.
