A few weeks ago, BMW presented a restyling of its X5 SUV. In addition to the revised style, the latest opus BMW X5M has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 625 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.

But for fans of the Bavarian firm who want more power, the Germans from Manhart Performance are opening up Manhart MHX5 700 : BMW X5 M, overclocked to 730 horsepower, limited to only ten copies.

Thanks to an optional electronic box called Manhart MHtronik, the power now goes to 730 horsepower at 900 Nm of torquean increase of 105 horsepower and 150 Nm of additional torque compared to the original configuration of the BMW X5 M.

There is also a stainless steel exhaust system with active valves, which provides a better sound, but remains aesthetically quite restrained, as the German manufacturer has left the BMW M Performance tailpipes covered in carbon. The exhaust line has been upgraded by removing the catalytic converter and particulate filter to improve performance, but Manhart clarifies that these latter items are not approved for road use.

On the chassis side, the MHX5 700 also gets a KW Suspensions signature suspension that allows you to adjust or lower the ride height and optimize driving dynamics, offering a distinctive style. Is also 23 inch wheels Manhart Classic-Line Y-spokes, matte black and shod in 315/25 ZR23 tires.

From an aesthetic point of view, the model also has additional details carbon fiber : front spoiler, air intake grille, rear diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler and two-piece roof spoiler. The kit is completed by carbon mirror caps and a carbon roof spoiler, also sourced from the M Performance catalogue, as well as red trim.

On board are new Manhart signature floor mats, carbon steering wheel spokes, as well as carbon steering wheel inserts.

As for the price, expect €2,745 for the Manhart MHtronik electronic box, €7,545 for the rims, €2,855 for the side skirts, €1,650 for the spoiler, €3,175 for the front plate, €740 for the mirrors, €1,470 for the rear diffuser or €1,560 for the grille radiator made of carbon, not to mention 1115 euros for carbon inserts on the steering wheel and 515 euros for the paddles of the gearbox.
