The electric Jeep adventure truly continues! Jeep’s first all-electric vehicle, the Avenger, was launched with much fanfare late last year. It is also the smallest model of the brand. For several months, this model has been highlighted and its world premiere was presented at the last Brussels Motor Show. On this occasion, the “Car of the Year” jury chose it European Car of the Year. This is a great recognition for Jeep, which has never had such awards. So far, it has offered, at best, only plug-in hybrid models. Therefore, the appearance of this mini-electric crossover is an important turning point in the history of the brand. This model will be available in the coming months at relatively affordable prices, determinants when it comes to electric cars. However, Jeep is not going to stop there, as it plans to do release several new electric models In the coming months.

Recon, Wagoneer S and a third?

Jeep was really presented a large electrification strategy plan. The brand’s goal is to become the world’s first brand of electrified SUVs and 4X4 SUVs. By 2030, the company aims to achieve 100% of electricity sales in Europe and 50% in the US. It plans to release two models, the premium SUV Wagoneer S and the more affordable Recon. The Recon model, which was shown as a concept, was recently presented with more detailed information at a meeting in Las Vegas. In appearance, it has a very “boxy” silhouette, very square. The original form that appears bring it closer to a 4X4 Wrangler than the Compass or Grand Cherokee SUVs. It will be equipped with a All-wheel drive 4X4as well as several driving modes thanks to Jeep Selec-Terrain system (Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud, Stones). We don’t know yet its levels of power and, above all, autonomy.

And four!

But this trio of electric SUVs might actually be… a quartet! The American manufacturer will indeed have a fourth model, and just released the first image. “Fourth Jeep BEV Model Coming By 2025”. The fourth electric model by 2025, that is, tomorrow! Under this very mysterious title, the silhouette of an SUV hidden under a tarp. In the state, it is impossible to know what is hidden there. Crossover? 4X4? Big model? A little more affordable? The future will show! In any case, Jeep has truly made electric its new hobby horse!
