Police checks are very common on the roads throughout France. In most cases, they concern speeding, especially during holidays and long weekends. But it very often happens that the police are engaged in other types of checks, in particular, so that motorists do not get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Especially since the government wants to tighten the screws on this point, applying now zero tolerance. As we know, driving under the influence is obviously very dangerous.
Minor intervention…
However, this does not prevent some motorists from ignoring the bans in the hope of being caught. Sometimes it works, sometimes less so. This is exactly what happened to our main character of the day, who had to spend a bad quarter of an hour. The action of our story takes place on April 21 in the town of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune located near Lyon. That day, the gendarmes resorted to the banal traffic control, when they stop the driver and ask her for car documents. The peace officer then asks her if she has any illegal substances. She admits to having an 8-gram bag and takes a saliva test, which comes back positive.
A big discovery
Except the gendarme has a different intuition, due to the pungent smell of cannabis coming from the car. Bingo! The latter finally finds no less than 221 grams of resin, 129 grams of grass as well as 340 euros in cash. In reality, a young woman was driving drugs to customers. She will end her tour in police custody, and her license has been confiscated by the gendarmes. His car was in the parking lot in the meantime and was apparently cleared of the substances he was transporting.
