German motorhome manufacturer Franciaa member of the French group Pilote, offers a range of motor homes under the name Neowhich is based on Mercedes Sprinter trucks.

Here is a new model in the assortment: the MI 7, which is available in two versions with two single beds (MI 7 GDK Neo) or a transverse double bed (MI 7 BD Neo) at the rear. It’s the latter that interests us here, with its impressive all-round view that stretches to 6.87 meters in length, 2.24 meters in width and 2.96 meters in height, offering a generous 2 meters of headroom inside.

Based on the Mercedes Sprinter 415 rigid and powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 150 horsepower (177 horsepower as an option) mated to a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, Frankia MI 7 BD Neo has a total weight of 3.5 tons, which allows it to be drives with a simple B license. A 4.5 tonne GVW version is also available, but requires a category C heavy goods vehicle licence.

In front we find a Living room accommodates up to five people thanks to the swiveling cockpit seats, an additional seat on the side, an L-shaped bench and a table with an extension. Please note, however, that the Frankia MI 7 BD Neo is designed for two-up travel: you’ll need to add two extra car seats to legally carry two extra passengers.

Not far from it in the kitchen area is a two-burner stove, a stainless steel sink, plenty of storage space and Compressor refrigerator 84 l (138 liters to choose from). Opposite is a smart bathroom with a compact pull-out toilet, as well as a pull-out sink: when retracted, this equipment gives way to a large shower.

In the back is a comfortable bedroom with a large transverse double bed 140 x 203 cm, accessible by ladder. There is plenty of storage space, as well as a large garage underneath: spacious and accessible thanks to two gates, it can be used, for example, to transport bicycles.

Large in front additional bed in the cabin allows you to add bed linen 140 x 192 cm, to accommodate two more people for the night. Many other equipment are available as options, including the Chassis and Comfort packages, including numerous equipment and driver assistance systems, MBUX multimedia system with 10.25-inch touchscreen, numerous customization options, rear view camera, external shower, air conditioning systems, safe and TV with a flat screen.
