Created by Euro NCAP, Green NCAP is an independent European body that assesses the energy and environmental performance of cars sold in Europe, as well as their environmental impact by analyzing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

Green NCAP testing includes three separate components: clean air tests, energy efficiency tests and greenhouse gas tests. Inventorying them three assessment criteriathe organization receives an overall rating of the model.

Nissan Ariya: maximum Green NCAP score

Tested by Green NCAP, Nissan Aria received the highest score 5 starswith a total weighted score 9.6/10. The electric SUV scored a 10/10 in clean air tests, as well as top marks in intermediate lab and road tests. It also scored 9.3/10 in energy efficiency tests and 9.5/10 in greenhouse gas tests.

A cold weather driving test (-1°) recorded the Ariya’s consumption at around 24kWh/100km, while Green NCAP measured a useful battery capacity of 89.6kWh, which is higher than the homologated figure for the model . The car holds the battery more than 500 km (WLTP) on one chargealthough autonomy is closer to 300 km in cold weather (-7°C) and on the highway.

Nissan Ariya: praised for its energy efficiency

After subjecting the new electric SUV to 11 kW recharging, the total efficiency was 91.6% of energy from the grid. According to Green NCAP, it is the highest value has never been measured by a European body.

Launched last year in France, the new Nissan Ariya symbolizes Nissan’s commitment to a cleaner future, and this new accolade from Green NCAP recognizes the work done by the brand’s teams to offer an electric car to drivers looking for environmentally responsible transport.
