This company has developed technology that could revolutionize brain activity monitoring to help the Swedish manufacturer understand drivers even better. The artificial intelligence-based software developed by CorrActions can detect deviations in cognitive status drivers and passengers, depending on muscle micromovements that reflect brain activity.

Volvo: intelligent determination of the driver’s condition

Using existing sensors, for example on the steering wheel, these movements can be usedidentify several symptoms for example, distraction, intoxication, or excessive fatigue.

With this system, CorrActions is trying to solve the same problems as Volvo’s safety engineers: indeed, over decades of research, the brand’s teams learned that absent-mindedness and fatigue these are everyday realities. In traffic, a few seconds of inattention is enough to cause an accident.
