
THE Volkswagen Group continues the electric offensive: in the first quarter of 2023 deliveries of electric cars from the brands of the German group increased by 42% compared to the first quarter of 2022, which, however, was marked by significant supply difficulties.
“The year started favorably for the electric car market. The group recorded a 68% increase in deliveries to Europe and the number of BEVs delivered to the United States doubled. This week at the Shanghai Motor Show, we showed that we have the perfect equipment to meet the demand of the Chinese market in this segment. Only in March, we already observed an increase in deliveries in China compared to last year. The Volkswagen ID.7 model, which has just been presented to the public, will give us an additional boost in our core markets. We are doing everything we can to achieve the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves: in 2023, almost one in ten cars delivered worldwide will be an all-electric model.”– said Hildegard Wortmann, head of the sales department of the Volkswagen Group.
Volkswagen Group: a well-filled order book
