Cupra continues to grow, both in terms of sales and the models offered in the range. On the sidelines of the presentation of the new Cupra Tavascan, The manufacturer also presented a shooting brake with rather ambiguous linesbut which, unfortunately, will never tread our roads.

Indeed, Cupra DarkRebel is the name of the model, only for the metaverse, this famous all-digital world. This is an electric car concept that will be available on Metahype, a space dedicated to the Cupra in the metaverse.

Greater freedom

The Cupra DarkRebel is a model with sharp lines, sporty proportions and a rather sexy look with a Shooting Brake-style body. By its very nature, the Cupra can afford a lot of freedom in terms of architecture and styling.

The long hood, above all, has the shape of an arrow, and the interior is pushed back as much as possible to give dynamism and give the impression that the car is directed forward.

There are also some common elements with the new Tavascan, starting with the LED signature of the front lights, as well as a kind of “spine” that defines the volume and proportions of the body.

The asymmetry of the cockpit, one-piece seats, surfaces reminiscent of organic materials and a steering wheel inspired by video games emphasize the fact that this of a car focused on the driver and the driving experience.

A show car that we will never see on the road

With the many possibilities offered by the digital world, Cupra wants to give its community the opportunity to test their creativity. By choosing materials, colors and finishes, users can enjoy and create their own version of DarkRebel.

Different configurations will serve as a basis at a later stage, to the final physical model design presented later. The DarkRebel is the first demo car featured on Metahype, and according to Cupra CEO Wayne Griffiths, “It represents the ultimate interpretation of the brand’s DNA and vision. So this isn’t so much a preview of what we’ll see down the road as a true manifesto. ยป
