In March 2023, Pham Nhat Vuong, president of Vingroup, the parent company of VinFast, announced the creation of Green and smart mobility (GSM), a company specializing in Taxi and green transport.

This new Vietnamese company has two different activities: its own electric taxi servicebaptized Taxi Xanh SM (Taxi Vert SM) and launched on April 14 in Vietnam, as well as a rental of electric cars and scootersaimed at professionals in the transport of people.

VinFast: a subsidiary specializing in taxis

Through its diverse activities, GSM will help democratize the use of VinFast’s 100% electric vehicles to accustom the public to travel in the brand’s models, with a low-carbon mobility service that is simple and accessible to all.

The Taxi Xanh SM taxi fleet consists of VinFast VF e34 (formerly known as VF31), 100% electric compact SUVs, all identical, dressed in navy blue: this color is a combination of green, which symbolizes the environment and green energy, and blue, which symbolizes intelligence and technology. There are also small ones VinFast VF5 Plustwo models are positioned within the offer under the name “Green Car”.

For the launch of Taxi Xanh, SM ordered no less than 500 copies of VinFast VF e34as well as 100 copies of VinFast VF 8 on the streets of Hanoi. The company promises its customers 5-star quality service with a team of professional drivers trained in the company’s best practices. Taxi Xanh SM service will also be offered during 2023 Ho Chi Minh Citythe largest city of the country, as well as in 5 additional cities from Vietnam.
