A few years ago, Tesla was a very high-end manufacturer, even a bit elitist. And we owed this, in particular, to the Model S, the first car completely developed by the brand, which demonstrated a very premium positioning. That’s still the case, and the sedan still exceeds the 1 bar00,000 euros in the catalog. But over the years, Elon Musk’s company has significantly reduced the prices of its cars, releasing much more affordable models. We mean, in particular, the famous Model 3 and Model Y, which did not have a hard time attracting customers from all over the world. And which largely contribute to Tesla’s success.

Sales are on the rise
These two vehicles allowed the brand to reach a completely different clientele with a much smaller budget than the very expensive Model S and Model X. In addition, the manufacturer operated several falling prices in recent months, making the Y model cheaper than the Renault Mégane E-Tech. Which also worries ordinary manufacturers, who cannot afford to reduce the prices of their cars so much. And this is obviously in favor of Tesla, which thus attracts many customers from its competitors and increases its sales figures incredibly.
A wonderful performance
Thus, 3,158 units of the Model 3 have been sold since the beginning of the year, beating out Hyundai Kona and other DS 4, among others. But above all, the Model Y stands out, as it occupies the 9th position in the ranking of the best-selling cars in France. For example, it is more attractive than the Dacia Spring and the new electric Fiat 500. Thus, it is right behind the Peugeot 3008 and the other Renault Captur. A big success for an affordable electric SUV.
