It’s been a while since the state announced that the country will be filled with charging stations available to everyone. At the end of 2020, Emmanuel Macron even announced that the 100,000 mark would be reached by the end of 2021. Since then, we are still waiting, but this promise is still not fulfilled. And this despite the arrival of many operators, such as Electra or Allego, in addition to companies that have long been present in the territory, such as Ionity, TotalEnergies or Tesla with its main Superchargers.
The eastern district of Saint-Rambert on the street@A7Traffic from July 18 will offer 2 electric charging stations for refrigerators. It is an economical, ecological and quiet alternative to noisy and polluting diesel generators. https://t.co/YF2YFVSF5Q

The number is growing
But now we are finally starting to get closer tothe goal is 100,000 terminals promised the government. Finally, still in a few weeks, while as of the end of March, there were 95,755 charging points operating in the territory. So we can expect Macron’s promise to be fulfilled at the end of April, if all goes well. In recent weeks, at least 4,487 new stations have been installed, which is equivalent to 13,648 charging points. Good progress, so in favor drivers of electric cars.
Unequal distribution
However, these terminals are not yet evenly distributed across the territory. Indeed, and unsurprisingly, the vast majority remain concentrated in the Ile-de-France region. Most are also installed in shops and parking lots. And most of them are terminals from 7.4 to 22 kW. Finally, Avere-France reports an availability rate, that is, those in good working order, at 86%. A figure that drops to 84% for DC terminals 150 kW.
