60 years ago, in 1963, the company with a star presented Mercedes 600known by the codename W100: it was the benchmark in the segment for almost two decades, until the end of production in 1981. For the first time in a passenger car, the Mercedes-Benz 600 was equipped with an engine V8 engine, with a working volume of 6.3 liters, which produced 250 horsepower. It was also equipped with cutting-edge technology at the time, such as an automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes.

The German firm wanted to highlight three strengths of this modern and prestigious car: a great comfort for passengers, a maximum security and outstanding driving characteristics. At one time, the specialized press considered the Mercedes 600 the best car in the world. Mercedes 600: many holidays in 2023

This year, the Stuttgart firm will celebrate the anniversary of the Mercedes 600 s several events : Mercedes-Benz Classic will present the legendary model at the Odeonsplatz studio, Munich, Germany, from April 11, 2023.
