THE windshield wipers is an important element of safety in the car. They help to ensure visibility from the cabin by eliminating everything that can interfere with the windshield: rain, snow, dust, frost, dirt and other traces of insects.

The French equipment manufacturer Valeo is now selling a new type of wiper blade in Europe, equipped with a silicone brush and a special coating: Valeo Everguard, which is visually highlighted by a blue line. Already proven in Japan and the United States for several years, this silicone technology has been specially designed to provide better performance in all weather conditions.

Valeo Everguard: How does it work?

Valeo Everguard wiper blades are continuously applied and serviced a hydrophobic layerwhich is a waterproof and invisible barrier on the windshield.

Activating the silicone protection is a simple process that takes less than 5 minutes: simply dry the car’s windshield wipers for 5 minutes on low speed to form a hydrophobic film on the windshield.

The effects are visible even when the windshield wipers are not working: the drops of water are no longer disturbing, they are trouble and evacuate independently on the windshield while driving at a speed of more than 50 km/h. This phenomenon also contributes to the evacuation of raindrops by the wiper blades.

Valeo Everguard: award-winning technology

According to Valeo, Everguard wiper blades are more resistant to the main wear factors : temperature fluctuations, UV rays and ozone.

The French equipment manufacturer specifies that the Everguard broom has a twice as long life than a standard broom: it does not crack or deform even under extreme conditions of use. In addition, silicone allows a much smoother and quieter operationdue to the high elasticity of the material and the special profile of the blade.
