The number of speed cameras on the sides of our roads continues to increase and has been for several years. Which apparently has a gift for annoying motorists, although there has been a lot of damage since the yellow vest crisis. And yet, controls are more common than ever, which does not prevent some drivers from trying to circumvent the rules. And in most cases it ends in nothing good. Because if you drive too fast, it happens to everyone, some are real speeders who don’t hesitate to put their lives at risk on the road.
A huge overshoot
This is especially true of this driver, who probably had to spend a very bad quarter of an hour. The story happened last Friday, but it was not made public until a little later through Facebook page of the Du Gendarmerie. As often, the soldiers of the Community of Brigades (CoB) Pontarlier carried out road checks on the edge of the department 471. This rather busy road connects Pontarlier to Frasne and is limited to 80 km / h. Except for our today’s main character, who decided to play pilots, this seems to be not enough. But it didn’t last long because he was quickly intercepted.
Heavy fine
Indeed, on Rivière-Drugeon, the police detained a 49-year-old driver who was traveling at a speed of 178 km/h instead of the standard 80 km/h. This is equivalent to exceeding the speed by about 100 km/h, which is severely punished according to Traffic rules. As such, his car was impounded and his license was revoked as well. An intoxicated person was also arrested, as was another who was circulating without a little pink piece of paper.
