Théon Design is one of the developers specializing in restomod Porsche 911. Today, the company presents a car created for a client in Milan.
Although this model looks like a 911 from the 1970s, it’s actually an early 1990s 964 Carrera 4. The tuner replaced the body panels with carbon fiber parts to save weight while maintaining the original silhouette. Only with 1152 kilograms for 400 hpdriving this model promises to be particularly exciting.
Collection of several generations of Porsche 911
Under the hood we find a 4.0-liter air-cooled six-cylinder engine that develops 400 hp at 7500 rpm and 430 Nm torque at 6250 rpm. This engine has independent throttles and electronically controlled throttle. The combustion chamber is based on the 997 GT3 chamber. The exhaust is covered with a ceramic coating.
Even if the donor car is four-wheel drive, this restomod engine, while the six-speed manual gearbox, limited-slip differential and brakes come from the 993 RS. Théon Design also added two A/C compressors and an electric power steering pump.
This car is equipped with five-stage adaptive shock absorbers and a front axle lifting system. You will no doubt also recognize the famous Fuchs 18-chip discs.
Restomod at a golden price
For the interior, the customer chose comfortable “Touring” seats with a small rear seat for four passengers if necessary. Upholstery – brown leather, tobacco color. Among the modern touches we find, in particular, a place for inductive charging of smartphones and a Focal Hi-Fi system with six speakers.
Théon Design offers a Porsche 911 restomod from $465,105 (about €430,000), but this price does not include the donor car and transportation costs. Each model is unique and depends on the wishes of the customer. The assembly process takes about 18 months.
