If you’ve been following automotive news closely, you may remember the impressive price hike Tesla put on last year. In a few months, the Tesla Model 3 has increased by about 13,000 euros, while being excluded from the scale of the environmental bonus.

At the same time, the Tesla Model Y arrived in Europe with a rather “beneficial” price in the Propulsion version from 49,990 euros. Orders for this model, which was cheaper than the cheapest Tesla Model 3, poured in, and customers sensed the bargain and imagined that the price would soon go up.

Tesla stocks are full

Except there was a backlash at the start of the year, with Tesla prices dropping significantly and several cars moving back onto the eco-bonus scale. Who says new prices are going down if used prices are going down too, and the least we can say is it’s that the inventory at Tesla seems to be very fullboth new and used.

Indeed, at the same time last year, due to a shortage of components, we had to expect a delay of about a year to get the model. Finally, the delays will not be as long, especially in Europe with the start of the Gigafactory in Berlin and a large reduction in production.

But inventory quickly piled up, and Tesla found a large number of cars in stock today, whereas a year ago that section of the brand’s website was nearly empty. Year ago, some used models were even exchanged for the price of new ones.

Room for discounts

To reduce your reserves (which are nothing more than tied-up money that loses value over time), That’s why Tesla is applying discounts on certain models that are available immediately. Customers will even have a choice of multiple possible configurations and multiple colors.

If you want to customize a new Tesla, the website even highlights a small window that invites you to take a look “our vehicles are available for immediate delivery” with reference to new and used inventory.

Fun fact, there are even some Tesla Model S Plaid and Tesla Model X Plaid new and in stock at discounted prices around €15,000.
