Like many others, our reader Pierre M., originally from Nanterre (92), dealt with the arguments Dacia Duster. Thus, at the beginning of the 2020 school year, he receives a version 1.3 TCe 130 novelty. However, it took him a little over two years to bitterly regret that purchase. Indeed, in November last year, this SUV broke down: it was impossible to engage any gear. Then he calls the builder, who sends him a repairman. This solves the problem by simply changing the position clutch pedal in a high position. A very temporary solution as after about ten days the car stalls again…
Did you say low cost?
This time our reader, who is then in the province, demands his Vacuum cleaner to be kept in the workshop Dacia nearest. After two weeks of investigation, the latter concluded that the entire clutch, including the flywheel, needed to be replaced.
An operation that constitutes 2629 euros. For Pierre, this is a devastating blow. In fact, he does not plan to spend such an amount, and his Duster is just showing off 23,100 km. So he asks his agent to ask Dacia to cover this amount. But the brand categorically refuses to pay even part of the bill. Pierre is angry and decides to do everything to force the builder to bend.
Our defense strategy
Due to the repairman, who acted minimally, Pierre lost several weeks to solve his problem. This one, well-known on this generation of Duster, refers to items that should last 150,000 km. He must therefore inform Dacia immediatelyassume this failure in full. Indeed, neither the age of his Duster nor its mileage allow the Romanian manufacturer to apply the norm of moral obsolescence to his participation.
