Bonuses paid to employees of automakers change every year. They vary, in particular, depending on the company’s results. And sometimes the amount is enough to please the employees!
Volkswagen employees in Germany have been awarded a big bonus
This especially applies to employees of the Volkswagen concern in Germany. Some 120,000 employees working on the other side of the Rhine will indeed receive almost 4100 euros ! The news was announced to employees last week by Works Council President Daniela Cavallo and Human Resources Director Gunnar Kilian.
The group is gaining momentum again after several years of lower premiums. In 2020, badly hit by the Covid-19 crisis, the group gave its employees an additional €2,700 in bonuses. The following year, employees received a bonus of 3,000 euros. The figures are much lower than in previous years, for example, only in 2019 – 4,950 euros, and in 2013 – a record – even 7,200 euros.
The Volkswagen Group performed well in 2022 with a net profit of 11.35 billion euros, two years after suffering a loss of 1.6 billion euros due to diesel gate.
