A car with a capacity of more than 300 hp. for less than €10,000? Some will tell you that “If it’s not expensive, there’s a reason”, and we can’t necessarily prove them wrong. However, browsing the classifieds sites, you can find cars with more than 300 hp. at reasonable prices, even if it is not necessarily only sports.

Obviously, among the cars we are going to highlight, it is not only the purchase price that needs to be considered. Often the reason for such a low price for a car of this type, these are maintenance costs, very high at the dealership and hard to guess later. Obviously, it will take a good look at the maintenance and the recent changes made so that what seems like a good thing doesn’t turn into a nightmare.

It is necessary to take into account other factors, for example fuel consumptionvery high for certain models that don’t necessarily benefit from current technology, allowing at least a little to curb the appetite of certain engines or even runwhich can be especially high if the car is displayed at a low price.

Still, today a new car with more than 300 hp. it is there, but the prices have jumped. The Volkswagen Golf R now costs at least €60,000 including taxes in France, a budget that is not necessarily accessible to all budgets.

Mercedes-Benz C 32 AMG

Even if it is priced around €15,000 or even €20,000 for a well-maintained model with low mileage, you can find a Mercedes-Benz C 32 AMG for less than €10,000. But some concessions will be made, such as mostly minor aesthetic restoration, while mileage often exceeds 200,000 km. But again, it all depends on the service.

Thanks to the compressed 3.2-liter V6 engine, the car develops no less than 354 hp and 450 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. However, you will have to be patient if you want to buy one, there are few ads and the beautiful models at reasonable prices are quite popular.

Audi S4

Audi S4, was a good configuration, but today we are interested in the B6 generation, even if some B7s are slowly but surely starting to approach the €10,000 mark.

However, let’s focus on our version of the B6, which is equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 engine 344 hp. It’s the all-round sports car par excellence, and you can find models for less than €10,000, but even here some concessions can be made, especially on mileage, which often reads over 200,000km on the odometer.

Porsche Cayenne S

SUVs account for nearly 50% of new car sales today, so some of you may be looking for an updated model. There are not many SUVs with a capacity of more than 300 hp. priced under €10,000, but you can find several Porsche Cayennes at that price. Thus, it is clear that these models no longer have a good reputation, as the ones we can come across are often modified and not trustworthy.

But we are never immune to a nice surprise and a well-preserved model whose owner wants to part with it for a reasonable amount. The first generation of the Porsche Cayenne in the S version with a 4.5-liter V8 engine from 340 hp, can be found for less than €10,000. But beware of consumption and service, the prices are outrageous!

BMW 645 Ci

After Mercedes and Audi, let’s move on to BMW. The 6 Series is undoubtedly, along with the Z4, a symbol of Chris Bangle’s work at BMW. The 645 Ci version is not sporty at all, despite the big 4.4-liter V8 333 hpbut the eight-cylinder engine provides a driving pleasure that is becoming increasingly rare these days.

This model also exists in a convertible, but it clearly costs a little more. On the other hand, you can find a good example, with a mileage of about 200,000 km, for about 10,000 euros. On the positive side, these models were not necessarily “abused” too much. The downside is that they are in demand and rarely found on the used goods market.

Volkswagen Touareg

For those who do not like German cars, this selection is not necessarily for you, as it only consists of models from the other side of the Rhine. But only German manufacturers offered such powerful machines 10-15 years ago. Today, Honda Civic Type R or Ford Focus RS with a capacity of more than 300 hp. still too new (and the demand is also very high) to be listed for less than €10,000.

Thus, the Volkswagen Touareg will be the second SUV in this selection, and the model we offer you has a V10 engine from 313 hp and 750 Nm of torque (350 hp for the restyling version, which was released in 2007). And tell yourself that it was even more powerful with the version equipped with a 450 hp W12 engine.

It’s not necessarily very rare to find a Touareg V10 5.0L TDI for less than €10,000 and less than 20,000km, but here again, apart from consumption, maintenance will undoubtedly be the area of expenditure that will delay more than one buyer.
