If Aston Martin sells more cars not less than Last year, 7,000 models were sold, it cannot be said that this is a financial panacea. Indeed, as we told you this week, last year Aston Martin tripled its losses compared to 2021.
But the Gaydon manufacturer has also invested heavily in recent months in updating its range, including strengthening its partnership with Mercedes-AMG (especially for future hybrid models), but also development of several 100% electric cars. And the first draft of this new line should be presented this summer, as the SUV or sedan should be officially unveiled.
Aston Martin: significantly updated range
This was announced by the CEO of the brand, Lawrence Stroll, during a conference for investors. The leader confirmed the rumors that were circulating: “We will see models that will lead Aston Martin into an electric future. It will be a large-scale event that will present the projects that the company has been working on for three years.”
In addition to the new electric car, Aston Martin will also present its upcoming range, of course with the formalization of certain silhouettes, without revealing all the cars that will appear in the coming years. Early rumors suggest the DB12 will replace the DB11, and that model could arrive this year.
Aston Martin: an SUV and an electric sedan are being prepared
The DB12 may come with some Vantage and DBS updates. These models may also be the last to be equipped with a 100% internal combustion engine.
As for the rest of the range, namely the electric ones, we will see for the first time this summer, with a sedan or an SUV, but in general Aston Martin should adopt a strategy similar to that of Lotus or McLaren at this level, in presenting primarily the more “versatile” models, but all still very high class.
