Society The Fisker company was founded in 2008 by Henrik Fisker in order to propose models sports electric cars, and high class. The brand’s first car was the Fisker Karma, an electric sports car equipped with a range extender, launched in 2008. Despite the successful launch, the car’s career was quite confidential, to the point that the company Fisker went bankrupt in 2013. In 2016, the American company was revived thanks to new investors. Karma’s adventure is back! The model that embodies since its revival is large 100% electric family SUV Ocean. It was first introduced in 2020, and production will begin in November 2022. Although originally intended for the American market, the Ocean is still Made in Europe, at the Magna Steyr factory in Austria!
A large electric SUV to celebrate the revival of Fisker
This is a large SUV modern lines and clean silhouette. Three types of finish are offered: Sport (402 kilometers of autonomy), Ultra (547 km) and Extreme (563 km). Fisker has made every effort to make this SUV the flagship of its advanced technologies: sun roof, autonomous driving system (Intelligent Pilot) and electric four-wheel drive. But the brand knows it its exorbitant price will limit its distribution to the greatest number. It is for this reason that the second offensive will pass a more compact model, more adapted to the European market: Pear. This is not a remake of the Renault 14 (nicknamed “the pear” after the Publicis campaign that caused it to lose credibility)!
A sedan with a powerful and high-tech style
A pear is a muscular 5-door sedan. Or a compact crossover it’s your turn to judge. Its first images have just been released, allowing us to appreciate its final design. At first sight, she does in the original. Between its lack of a rear quarter panel roof, its lights going round the stern, and its roof with a futuristic design is quite daring. On board, the passenger compartment is not cluttered and seems to represent itself a fully digital whiteboard, for the infotainment system and instrument panel. The brand promises a revolutionary electric architecture, and has already announced it maximum autonomy: 500 kilometers. It will be built in the USA, in Ohio and will arrive in 2024. Its pre-orders are already open, with 5,600 registered to date at a price of €235. The brand also communicated the appearance in a few months of the Ronin electric roadster. Future MG Cyberster and Tesla Roadster competitor?
