Last year, the Ionity network celebrated its 100th anniversarythousand charging station in France, its second European market. Now this network is growing with the emergence two new charging stationswhich is located on the streetAutostrada A7 in the south of France.

This new station in France sets new standards in terms of size and related services, increasing the comfort of electric train travelers.”.

Ionity on the A7: a new ultra-fast charging station

Electric mobility sometimes limits long-distance travel in Europe: Ionity wants to solve this problem by making it easier to have and access charging infrastructure along major European roads and motorways.

Ionity is actually Europe’s first powerful charging network for electric vehicles, which is complemented by a new double charging station located on the A7 motorway and connecting the north with the south of Europe.

For holidaymakers enjoying the Autoroute du Soleil, Ionity now offers a double electric charging station located in the Mornas Binoculars area (Mornas Village AND Mornas les Addresses), near Avignon and Orange, in both directions of the A7 motorway serving the Mediterranean coast. it’s about the largest station charging station to date, as well as the most powerful with a capacity of up to 350 kW.

The largest Ionity station in Europe

Each of the two Mornas stations can accommodate up to 16 electric vehicles at the same time, i.e. 32 electric cars in general. Ionity has also equipped these new zones with practical features such as weatherproof roofs with solar panels, not to mention credit card payment for casual users.

In France, Ionity already has the largest share of all European chargers 120 charging stations currently in service, consisting of a total 576 charging points.

For EV users, Ionity aims to take the stress out of highway travel. Other long-term investments are planned for the further expansion of the French network of Ionity charging stations: 10 Ionity stations currently in development in France.
