We cannot say that the relationship between the President of the United States Joe Biden and the boss of Tesla Elon Musk is always in a good state, quite the contrary. However, in the interests of the country, The White House and Elon Musk just reached a deal which goes in the direction of the electrical revolution that is being prepared in the USA.
Indeed, by the end of 2024. Tesla’s American network of charging stations will be available for other brands of electric vehicles. Thus, the American manufacturer agreed to open approx 7,500 chargers for electric cars from other manufacturers. The decision is part of the US government’s efforts to install about 500,000 additional terminals in the country by 2030.
As we build out our network of EV charging stations, we need to ensure that as many chargers as possible are working for as many drivers as possible.
For this purpose @elonmusk will reveal a large part @You are herenetwork to all drivers.
This is a big deal and it will make a big difference. https://t.co/hb6pyVhtbg

Charging infrastructure, the power of Tesla
Remember that the lack of charging stations is considered the main obstacle to the transition to electricity in the United States, and Tesla is one of the main players in the world today in terms of infrastructure. And it also benefits the brand’s customers, as the manufacturer is doing everything to make the electric ecosystem more accessible.
For example, Tesla owners can purchase adapters to charge their car at stations of other brands. This unfortunately does not apply to drivers, even if with the standardization of charging sockets it should be much easier in the future. Tesla has also opened several of its Superchargers in Europe for other car brands.
The United States accelerates on electric cars
Since his arrival in the White House, Joe Biden has initiated several measures aimed at promoting the electric car. These measures, somewhat protectionist in the opinion of the European Union, the share of electric cars in Uncle Sam’s country should increase. For example, the government will establish subsidies for manufacturers who come to produce their electric cars on American soil. Subsidies are obviously much more interesting than elsewhere.
This text provides tax breaks for manufacturers who manufacture their batteries and assemble their cars in the United States. Ranking grant up to $7,500 when buying an electric car on the North American continent is planned.
And it was these subsidies that undoubtedly tipped the scales for Elon Musk. Indeed, opening up its terminals to other brands would allow Tesla to benefit from US subsidies. Also, because of these subsidies, Tesla is now blocking the construction of a battery factory in Germany. The manufacturer could probably approve the repatriation of some of its activities in the United States.
