After the formidable MC20 and Grecale, Maserati continues to update the new generation of Gran Turismo. The trident coupe, which was a commercial success in its previous generation, returns to the scene with a new version, which for the first time will also be offered in an electric version.
After releasing the specifications of its model, Maserati today presents the prices of its coupe for France. In addition, it seems that there was inflation, since if the old generation started in 2007 with 114,280 euros in France, the new one sees its prices explode and start now from €181,350.
Maserati Gran Turismo: more prestigious
The new Maserati Gran Turismo claims a slightly more upscale positioning than its predecessor, but these “new” prices, above all, incline the Italian manufacturer to an even higher dimension. So for €181,350 you get the ‘Modena’ version equipped with the 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo Nettuno from 490 hp.
Trofeo version 550 hpalso equipped with the same V6 but with an additional rear differential, claims €44,300 more and rises to 225,650 euros in the base price.
Maserati is thinking big about its new coupe and has no hesitation in showing it at prices equivalent to certain luxury GTs, such as the Bentley Continental GT in V8 version, the Porsche 911 Turbo or the Aston Martin DB11. To this, of course, we must add 50,000 euros of malus in France, which can give a final turnkey invoice, over 300,000 for the Maserati Gran Turismo Trofeo with some options.
Maserati Gran Turismo: An electric version is still expected
Therefore, in France, it is the 100% electric version of the Folgore that should have the greatest success. Even if its price will also be significant (we are talking about a price similar to the Trofeo version), it will avoid the maximum fine. Remember that this model will evolve 750 hp and up to 1350 Nm of torqueenough to reduce the speed from 0 to 100 km/h 2.8 seconds.
Thanks to the 93 kWh battery, i.e. 83 kWh useful capacity, the car has a reasonable range 450 kilometers and charging power up to 270 kW at the fast terminal.
