That’s it, after five days of parties and celebrations around vintage and collectible cars, the Retromobile show closed its doors this Sunday evening, January 5th. AND 47th edition a must-see event for enthusiasts and purists that was put on hold during the pandemic. In this second post-spring year, the organizers did their best to please the visitors, while many manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and other collector car specialists were in attendance. Everyone played the game and it seems to have worked well, as shown by the numbers released by the organization. Because despite what you might think, vintage cars are still on the rise.

Visiting on the rise
And it is not for nothing that the results of this 2023 edition are more than positive. Indeed, no less than 125,000 visitors which were counted from February 1 to 5, which is 25% more than in 2022. Still, that year, 100,000 people pushed through the doors of the show, which takes place every year at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. This makes 2023 the second best year since the meeting was established in 1976. Proof, if it were needed, that the collector car is still very popular, and not just for the older generation, quite the opposite.

It must be said that the program this year was quite busy, with the 30th anniversary of the Renault Twingo and the presence of many brands such as volkswagen, Porsche, Alfa Romeo or even Peugeot, Citroën and DS through clubs. lovers van life were also at the party with a big display, while the 24 Hours of Le Mans was also in the spotlight.
