It’s no secret, like many other builders, In a few years, Porsche will go 100% electric. In addition to the Taycan, the German manufacturer’s range will expand with the 100% electric Macan between 2024 and 2025, while the next-generation Boxster and Cayman will also be electric.

But Porsche can go even further, Autocar journalists believe. Indeed, in 2027 Porsche is to present the “biggest” model in its history. It should be an SUV capable of competing with certain Bentley and Rolls-Royce models.

Its price should be matched with its proclivities, as early rumors suggest a price three times higher than today’s Cayenne, i.e. approx. 300,000 euros.

The biggest model in the history of Porsche?

The SUV has been developed under the code name “K1” since 2020. This model should be based on the PPE platform (developed by Audi and Porsche), which will accommodate new generation power units.

According to Autocar, the SUV could get 920 volt architecturewith a record charging time and a battery of more than 100 kW/h. British journalists also claim that the training ground could be close 700 kmand electric motors could receive a specific oil cooling system.

An electric SUV can significantly outperform five meters longhave three rows of seats and steerable rear wheels for easier maneuvering and improved dynamics.

Is the SUV more luxurious than sporty?

Information about this model, which promises to become the electric standard bearer of the manufacturer, is still quite rare. According to the first rumors, the SUV will have aerodynamic lines, a fairly short hood and large tailgate. It will also have a special off-road mode.

But before this model, Porsche has planned other electric models. Of course, there are the ones we mentioned above, but also the first 100% electric Cayenne, which is planned for 2026.

So the ‘K1’ project could be based on this new electric Cayenne, significantly improving its sporting claims and playing on the more luxurious side to eclipse the British tenors in the field.
