Ihydrogen is the energy of the future: it makes it possible to eliminate the limitations associated with recharging an electric vehicle by filling it with hydrogen in just a few minutes. The fuel cell will convert hydrogen into electrical energy, which will allow the user to drive the car without exhaust gas emissions.

At the moment, stations distributing hydrogen are still rare in France, which is an obstacle to the development of mobile solutions using this energy. So that professionals can manage their fleet of hydrogen cars, Stellantis AND Engie’s solution have joined forces to offer a range of hydrogen charging stations.

Stellantis and Engie: an offer for professionals

This is at Hyvolution 2023, which is now running from 1Er until February 2 in Paris, which Stellantis and Engie announced partnership signature aimed at facilitating the supply of hydrogen for fleets of “big wheel” professionals, with supply of hydrogen charging stations for professional customers of the Peugeot and Citroën brands.

Depending on the energy needs of each specialist, three suggestions will be offered:

  • Priming : provision of recharging from 20 to 40 cars per day;
  • Pure player : arrangement of infrastructure with provision of a charging station for 100 to 200 cars per day;
  • Ecosystem : an infrastructure adapted to the client’s needs, which includes the production of hydrogen by electrolysis, as well as a station that allows charging 200 to 400 cars per day.

Stellantis and Engie: an all-inclusive offer.

It individual decision includes the provision of hydrogen fuel, as well as a light SUV on hydrogen fuel cells. It provides professionals all inclusive offer.allowing to respond to the problems of autonomy and recharging time, while compensating for the lack of hydrogen charging stations in the territory.

This is how Engie Solutions will work with Stellantis professional customers forinstallation of a hydrogen storage and supply station, at a price that already promises to be competitive. This partnership, currently launched in France, can be developed on a larger scale in the future.

Hydrogen: strategic development of Stellantis

Stellantis believes in the future of hydrogen for mobility: this energy is the main challenge for the automotive group to achieve carbon neutrality in 2038 due to its electrification strategy.

Thus, at the end of 2021, the European manufacturer released its first medium-sized commercial vehicles with a hydrogen engine. These models have a range of 400 km, a load capacity of 1000 kg, andfull of hydrogen takes place in only 3 minutes.
