Nissan started its energy transition a little earlier than everyone else with the Leaf. But since then, the Japanese manufacturer has seen its competitors make a comeback, without necessarily taking advantage of what was quite impressive at the time.
But the Japanese manufacturer intends to pick up speed in the next few years, and it started last year with the introduction of the Nissan Ariya, a particularly successful 100% electric SUV that in some ways heralds the manufacturer’s resurgence.
The Japanese firm has also launched “Nissan Futures”, a series of events and conferences dedicated to the future of the brand, which will be held in Yokohama, its headquarters. To inaugurate this new event, Nissan introduced the Max-Out, a strange two-seater convertible that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Nissan Max-Out: It’s mind-blowing
The Max-Out concept car, first presented in digital form in November 2021, is now a reality and will be shown not only in Yokohama, but also at future events with the brand. The prototype combines extremely futuristic shapes with hypnotic wheel designs and neon yellow-blue LED beams, reminiscent of some of the eccentric models of the late 1990s.
The interior will not be overlooked: a large screen covers the entire dashboard and a rectangular steering wheel inspired by aviation controls. The set is quite minimalistic and may, even if this concept does not see the light of day, to inspire other models, this time intended for marketing.
Nissan Max-Out: a concept car that will not see the light of day
Information about this concept is still quite rare. For example, Nissan didn’t see fit to specify which drivetrain is under the hood, or whether some of the featured components will be in future models, although it’s conceivable that they are.
In reality, the Max-Out concept car looks more like an exercise in style, even if the manufacturer has never closed the door on the range of sports cars. let’s remember this Nissan GT-R R35 will soon have descendantsbut a 100% electric sports car cannot be ruled out.
The upcoming Nissan Futures event should, however, teach us a bit more about this concept car, as well as many other topics, starting with the future contours of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, which will undoubtedly define the range of electric models. come from Nissan.
