Last year, the Americans from Winnebago already offered us a concept car for a 100% electric van called the Winnebago e-RV. This year, at the Florida RV SuperShow 2023, we are unveiling the second opus of the model called Winnebago eRV2.
Based on the Ford E-Transit, the model has significantly evolved compared to the previous one, and now rides on the green wave with the use of recycled or biodegradable materials. It now features a graphic exterior with “eRV2” lettering on the sides.
Winnebago eRV2: Only 100 miles of range
Technically, the model has a the range is 174 kilometerswhich seems fair enough for US highway travel, but Winnebago says it will be more than enough for the small majority of trans-Atlantic customers who prefer trips within 200 miles of home.
The solar panels provide an electrical system of 900 Wh, which is equivalent to approximately 7 days of full autonomy. AND mobile app also allows you to control all aspects of the electrical and home automation of the Winnebago eRV2 and optimize its energy consumption.
Winnebago eRV2: ecological interior
On board, the model is distinguished by rather unusual materials, with an atmosphere consisting mainly of light wood, and recycled and sustainable materials appear on the board: the floor covering, for example, was designed using recycled plastic bottles, while the contours of the windows are obtained by mixing recycled paper and resin.
The model has a rather atypical layout, where we find a in the front space for remote work equipped with a small pull-out table that doubles as a desk and swivel front seats. The kitchen unit is centrally located with a sink, hob and fridge, while the bath is hidden opposite.
Winnebago eRV2: mobile office
In the back is a living room with two longitudinal benches, as well as a modular table. This space at night turns into a transverse double berthwhich comfortably accommodates two people.
Winnebago hasn’t given a launch date or price for its upcoming 100% electric van, but it already gives us a good idea of what the American manufacturer has in store for its upcoming high-end recreational vehicles.
