The third brand in France in 2022, after Peugeot and Renault, Dacia with 130,855 registrations won market share of 15.46%. Dacia conquers Europe

But this success was achieved not only in France! In Europe, it has already won a market share of 4.2%, that is, 0.7 points more than in 2021! With 573,800 vehicles registered, it is one of the rare brands to make progress (+6.8%). The Sandero was the second bestseller in Belgium and Spain ! If you look at the European results of the Renault group, then Dacia pulls it forward. Thus, with two million registered cars, the brand weighs more than 25% of group sales ! But how to explain this success? The slowdown in the automotive market in 2022 is mainly due to a shortage of chips, which has slowed production and therefore registrations. But for Dacia, whose on-board electronics are smaller compared to its wide-profile rivals, the cars succeeded out of the factory as soon as possible. This is even more of a feat in 2022, the brand increased its prices by an average of 10%!

Well-honed engineering

But which is also translated Dacia’s health is excellent, this is its very nature as a low-cost producer. The brand managed to become in less than twenty years profitability champion. Where is Fiat Volkswagen (with Jetta), Nissan (with Datsun) or even GM cut its teeth, Renault is one of the rare manufacturers that tried and succeeded in its bid on a low-cost brand. how? The very construction of the models is made from common parts: for example, the Jogger reuses 60% of Dacia Sandero spare parts, which are already amortized. Dacia models, as we have already said, also carry less electronics and suggest less customization options. Subtlety that allows models to emerge faster from the factory, offering them unbeatable price. It is very good (insolent?) Dacia’s health should not weaken updating its bestseller Duster at the end of the year!
