This year on the occasion of the 47th anniversarythousand edition Retromobile salonvintage car enthusiasts and collectors will be able to discover a exhibition dedicated to the life of vanswith about twenty recreational vehicles on the transition between Halls 1 and 2.

The German manufacturer will also have a stand (F062) dedicated to the brand in Hall 1. Volkswagen commercial vehicleswho will expose five models tracing the history of the famous Combi brand.

Volkswagen Combi at Retromobile 2023

The stand of the German manufacturer will allow visitors to familiarize themselves with a 1972 T2 a/b “Little Miss Sunshine” bus, which includes the iconic two-tone paint job. Up to seven passengers can get on board to go on adventures, the power of 66 horses allows to develop 125 km/h.

One Bus T1 “Henrich” 1967 Also on display will be a seven-seater version, originally delivered to San Francisco, USA, and equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 44 hp.

Finally, we can also find a Bus T1 “Costa” Campervan Westfalia 1965, equipped with a 44-horsepower engine that can reach 105 km/h. This version has 4 seats on board and was used by a family of travel enthusiasts who drove around 160,000 km with it all over Europe.

New identity card. Buzzing in the spotlight

As a link between history and the future, Volkswagen will also present two samples of the new ID at its stand. Buzz, the 100% electric successor to the Combi.

There you will find the version ID. Buzz Pro with a two-tone Candy White/Laurel Green livery that pays homage to the ‘Heinrich’ Combi livery featured alongside. It is equipped with a 204-horsepower engine and a 77 kWh battery, which allows it to travel up to 416 km of autonomy.

Service version ID. Buzz Cargo will also be shown with a large 3.9 meter cargo space3 for loading up to two euro pallets.

Volkswagen Combi: an international success

With its stand at the Rétromobile 2023 exhibition, the German brand celebrates 70 years of experience in the world of vans, having sold Combi over 12 million copies worldwide since its launch in 1950.

To find the Volkswagen stand, the van life exhibition and all destinations Retromobilethe famous show dedicated to retro and collector cars will open its doors this year from 1Er until February 5in the exhibition park Porte de Versailles in Paris.
